The Brazilian Guitar Project presents a unique combination of traditional Brazilian music styles, classical and jazz oriented guitar playing and percussion using many different instruments. Elements of other cultures such as Arabic or Spanish music as well as typical North African percussion instruments are integrated into their music in a fascinating way. A virtusoso classical guitar technique is combined with spontaneous improvisations. With its own arrangements of Brazilian music and with El-Salamounys compositions the Brazilian Guitar Project has created a very special style and is now one of the groups very much in demand in the field of world music.

                                                                                                                                                                                    Groups:                                                                                                                                   Trio:

Ahmed El-Salamouny - gutar, Pedro Tagliani - guitar, Gilson de Assis - percussion.

Duo:

Ahmed El-Salamouny with de Assis oder Tagliani

Solo: Roadtrip

In his actual program Ahmed El-Salamouny presents his own compositions for 7- and 6- string guitar in a mix between Jazz, New Age and Fingerstyle. In a beautiful contrast to those pieces he is playing virtuoso Samba- arrangements by composers such as Cartola, Noel Rosa, Baden Powell and others.
